In a tragic incident at the Shoreham Airshow in West Sussex, a Hawker Hunter aircraft met with an accident, impacting several vehicles as it descended. The exact number and condition of casualties are yet to be confirmed by Sussex Police.

The crash occurred near the A27, resulting in significant disruptions as authorities anticipate prolonged road closures.

Witness Stephen Jones described the harrowing moment, noting that the aircraft was in the midst of a loop maneuver but failed to complete it, leading to the crash. According to him, the plane seemed alarmingly low during the maneuver and ultimately crashed near or on the A27, close to the airport. Jones identified the aircraft as a Hawker Hunter T7 and recounted the pilot's attempt to complete a loop before the crash.

Authorities reported that the aircraft came to rest in a bush near the site of the incident.
