My mom had a german shepherd when I was a kid. When I got eye level with him, he attacked me and damn near killed me. I still have a wicked scar on the back of my head where he scalped me. I've raised pits and pit/boxers and they're wonderful dogs. :)

If you will actually "read and comprehend " the entry you might notice the article reads "pit bull type". What exactly the fuck is that? What that actually means is that the dog had short hair and a short nose. Could be one of as many as 26 breeds of dog, which are commonly called pits in the media. The next in line didn't say Rotty type, did it? This article is a perfect example of media bias. Yet folks are still gonna believe everything they are spoon fed in the headlines. Ignorance is bliss ain't it sunshine. Rock on dumbass.  |

pit bull type means a breed of pit bull. And they're all vicious under their sunny disposition. They'd tear your kids to shreds.

There is only one true breed of pit bull, the American Pit Bull Terrier. The rest are just bulldogs. There are a lot of things that could potentially shred your kids. Quite a number of them considerably more likely than a dog. Drunk drivers,gangs in schools and parents . Your children are statistically safer with a pit bull than they are with you. |

I'd like to see these statistics that show a child is safer with a pitbull than with it's parents  We've had aggressive pits here,after numerous complaints they finally got put down after attacking a bicylcist riding in the alley.The man who had them had a broken fence that he refused to fix,so the dogs darted in and out as they pleased,growling and attacking anything in their paths My cousin was one of those people who says "oh pit bulls are picked on,they're sweeter than any dog" until the pit he raised from a pup attacked his young daughter unprovoked,scarring her for life. Pigs also kill more people per year than any other animal in the US, they kill them because of falling on thier owners at large weight... you will die, Ive never seen it Ive never heard of it but apparently it happens. People need to quit being so dramatic, its a dog.
