The drug the girl was given at the end is Thorazine a typical anti-psychotic with mild sedative properties, that's probably why they give it to her, to keep her quiet. It has horrible side effects, yet it is still used today, was developed in the 50's as a treatment for schizophrenia. If they ever stop her abruptly, she could have some withdrawal symptoms. |

Correct. It is called "Chlorpromazin" in Germany. Actually, the sedation is a side effect... But it's not at all new, that medication in psychiatry is applied because of the side effect and not because of the "planned" effect. |
