Grizzlies On My Island
I realized that I've been away for so long that I haven't even told you guys yet...Grizzly bears are on my Island now. A mother bear swam across from the mainland, pregnant, and had two cubs right in my village. Here are some videos I've taken of them. They hang out in the estuary here and eat skunk cabbage, and then later in the season, Cow parsnip roots. |

Re: Grizzlies On My Island
These are photos one of my neighbours took of them. He uses a 50 megapixel camera and 1200mm lens. Even still, he's ballsy as hell and lets them get crazy close to him. |

Re: Grizzlies On My Island
Well, I guess it's time you guys started inviting parties of orphans to come and experience the fresh air of the forest, You don't even have to use subterfuge. Give them T-shirts that proclaim "Orphans Supporting Bears!! Or better yet: "Camping for Bears!" Don't worry! No adults to whine about their disappearing little rug rats! |
