Re: Found Grandpa's Camera
Package deal including film, development and digital scanning $79.99 https://filmphotographystore.com/pro...egative-40-iso Also notice the film speeds are iso 40 and 100. You will need a lot more light than today's digicams. |

Re: Found Grandpa's Camera
oh damn so you really do know your shit and in your opinion is that a good deal for the whole 3 in 1? i mean if just the film was $80 id be trippin but if they develop and everything maybe right? the reason i even want to bother with it is because it seems like it would be a trip to film with something so old in todays age.. i just keep picturing all the histoy channel footage and it would feel like being in a time machine ..or watching yourself maybe.. would it look exactly like the footaage we see on history channel..ect...? or am i just kinda blowing it up in my head and will probably be dissapointed. also iby digicams does that just mean modern camera? or am not privey to some inside slang |

Re: Found Grandpa's Camera
The whole $79.99 is pretty much the going rate, you will be hard pressed to find the film with developing and digitally scanned for you for less. But it is a whole lot cheaper and maybe more fun to use a modern digital movie camera and you can add vintage effects while shooting and editing. There is a reason digital is so popular today and one big reason is the high cost of analog film.

Re: Found Grandpa's Camera
The movie "Das Boot" was based on the adventures of a war correspondent/photographer named Lothar Gunther-Buchheim. I have several of his books of U-Boat pictures. He was digging around in his attic at the family home, and found about 15,000 pictures, some of them on undeveloped film from WWII. He had the ones that had never been printed, developed, and they added to the number of images he had. He decided to put out a photo book of German U-boats, which is the arm of the military he was assigned to, and it was a huge worldwide success. He has released a couple more U-Boat books since then. He also is a noted art collector in Germany. If you watch the movie "Das Boot", he is the war correspondent who goes on the sub's cruise to tell their war story, and he's the guy who gets an oily rag thrown in his face while getting in the way photographing guys loading torpedoes. He said that as the war started going badly for Germany, he felt less and less motivated, and developed fewer and fewer pictures, until by the end of the war, he was just storing rolls of undeveloped film, and never thought much more about them. He knew how to store film, but he went back to them after 30 years, in the 1970's, not 60 years, like you are face with. Perhaps your grandma was a hot chick back then, and you have some amateur porn. Unlike a lot of women from the 1940's, chicks from the 60's and 70's were hot then, and are still hot now. |

Re: Found Grandpa's Camera
I've heard of that movie alot and just have never bothered, I'll have to check it out.. And that'd be so awesome to come across a treasure trove of some unknown ww2 footage. Lol yeah that'd be my luck, I think that's instant TBI HA.. but I would have liked to know wtf was on it though. One of my grandma's friends showed a picture of when she was just like 20 back in the 50s and omg straight smoke show.. Crazy what we turn into with age lol |
