Re: Evolution Explained, Misconceptions Corrected and Evidence Presented
All that is well compiled, until you added Carl Sagan I just wish when people think of evolution as being a "fact" or a "theory" they understood the actual definition of those in accordance to science. They are not what they seem. Sure leads to some misleading beliefs. |

Re: Evolution Explained, Misconceptions Corrected and Evidence Presented
Who knew there was something intelligent on this site. Great post on Evolution! The only thing I see you missed was the two types of Neanderthals we still have walking the earth. In this country we call them Republicans and Christians. Since where on the topic further down the evolutionary line, closely related to amphibians ( some may say bacteria ), you have what are called Muslims. Other than that it was a fantastic post. |

i agree...except with the Sagan bit. i have no clue what you're talking about in that regard. the man was a very bright astronomer, cosmologist, astrophysicist and astrobiologist who's work help further our understanding of our solar system among other things. on a side note, his wife ended up being a key figure in marijuana law reformation and 'worked with' NORML. |

"Idiot" was a bit too harsh of a word on my part, so I'll retract that, because in truth he was a very smart person. Just from my point of view, too eccentric to be taken fully serious. I'll certainly try an elaborate soon on it. |

that, actually, i can agree with. did you know that Nye was one of his students? that might account for some of his mannerism when it comes to science communication. |
