By judging the length of the tail shown, I think it is probably an Artic Fox, and not another Polar Bear.

Maybe her cub was sick and it was dying, so she decided to eat it since they where not able to find food for day..

^This. A lot of animals will eat their young if they are born with problems, somehow many can tell if they will make it or not.

Thanks for the facts. I know a lot about Polar bears and I knew this was not typical behavior for either of the sexes.
