Iv seen some animal death pics lately and to some... animals seem to bring up more emotion then a beheading... anyway some tourists in northern Canada were shocked to witness this site of a polar bear eating her own cub...

In pic 2 this bear looks pretty emaciated !
Probably killed the cub out of hunger !..Or like lions it killed the cub so his genes are dominent !
I dead cub , one less bear to spread its genes !

It wasn't the mother, but a father polar bear eating his cub in northern Canada. Scientists are not too sure why a few of the males have resorted to type of rare behavior. Speculation is that global warming might have something to do with the scarcity of certain types of large fish and seals polar bears normally eat.

Not a sermon, just the facts. =)
