The first beast measured 13' and 5 inches and weighed 723 pounds. The oversized reptile was captured in the early morning hours in Issaquenna Co. in the Yazoo Diversion Canal north of Redwood, MS. The second, and larger alligator was 13 feet 4.5 inches and weighed 727.0 pounds. It was caught about an hour after the first one in the Mississippi River near the Big Black River in Claiborne Co.  · |

Nice try Mississippi, but you have along way to go to match our 19' 2" from Marsh Island. Nobody does gators like Louisiana.
