Because Mexicans were not his only problem. If they were, there are plenty of other places to go in Texas with higher concentrations of Mexicans. This guy had mental issues that extended far beyond Mexicans.

Because this guy is a coward (just think of the fact he got taken in ALIVE) and chose an attack that would produce the most amount of body counts. If he truly believed Hispanics were this evil invader he would have gone past the border to stop these "invaders" from coming in. But knowing him, he likely knows a little about the cartels and their welcomings. So instead of losing his life to dismemberment and flaying, he chose a place he saw as little to no threat. A place that symbolizes his self justified opinion of "greedy corporations" - aka walmart.

This literally looks like a case of some 8chan weeb who blamed everything else for not being employed, for not being rich, for not having a degree, for not having a girlfriend. Because its everyone elses fault! Damn those Mexicans for speaking two languages! Damn them for having a better skill set than me! Grrr! How dare they be better than me!

Eight of the dead were Mexican nationals. The rest of the dead were predominately of Hispanic heritage. It appears only 4 or 5 were non-Hispanic white folks. The city of El Paso, a border city, is 80% Hispanic. The shooter deliberately drove from Dallas to El Paso to target Hispanics.

There's actually tons of footage of Walmart security cameras on the web. Which shows how a Walmart theft prevention person can use their endless amount of cameras to follow you anywhere on the property, and read the ingredients on the pack of gum you slip into your pocket.
