The fundamental thing about 'America' ... is that Americans do rally around people who need help. Just look at the people running out to help the victims in this particular case!

Any 2nd/3rd world country and they'd either be stealing from the victims or running away, heading for the hills - hell for leather!

Americans seem to always jump in and help. That goes for 'World Wars,' famine, families hard up due to floods etc... and I take my hat off and salute America for being proud of their heritage, their flag.

In the UK we have the same caring spirit but one thing is lacking, a sense of pride in our country. That is missing.
