The killer had to really hate her to kill her that brutally. And she was attractive and OJ had a history of beating her out of jealous anger, so there's our motive--jealousy. Now who had that motive and was also strong/athletic enough to kill her and her male friend with his own hands? OJ. Case closed.

Police had ripped apart OJ’s bathroom, shower and plumbing pipes, searching for blood, but never found a drop or tiniest residue of blood. That’s where OJ would have cleaned himself up if he did it. In contrast, Jason would have cleaned himself somewhere else. Police never asked Jason where he was that night. He seemed to have an alibi that he was working, but coworkers say he left early that night. The theory is that Jason wanted to cook for Nicole, especially after OJ had broken up with her. Jason has a date with Nicole to cook for her. She cancels at the last minute. Jason shows up anyway, sees her with Ron and kills them both.

I read Dears book. He investigated the case for more than 15 yrs iirc. His book makes a compelling case for Jason being the killer, and OJ helping him cover it up. What really struck a chord with me is the day after Nicole was killed, Jason hired a criminal defense lawyer. Why I the world would you do that before any suspects were even determined or announced? Not to mention his violent history of assaulting people with knives. Then there's the evidence Dear found, including a knife and his Jeep that I think had blood in it (been a while since I read the book).

I used to think OJ was guilty. But after reading Dears book and reviewing the case evidence, I think it's highly likely Jason is our killer. Plus OJ may have been a douche, but there's a huge difference between hitting someone and slitring their throat with surgeon like precision...

- a paid hitman/hitmen
