I believe he wanted them to study his brain after he was executed. I remember watching the interviews with the profiler. Of course, it could have been another one of Ted's "attention seeking behaviors" after he was caught. I am certain he wanted his brain to be studied to see if anything could be found that caused his psycho behavior. I also believe autopsies are still performed when inmates are electrocuted as death was not due to natural causes. I am not positive, though.

I am also glad that he died in an electric chair instead of the lethal injection methods that they use today. Rather him fry and feel pain, than fall asleep and feel no pain.

He did some absolutely horrific things, and certainly "deserved" whatever punishment society could come up with, including the electric chair. Better yet, they could have even Chinese water tortured him while starving him to death. However, since he couldn't kill any more people as long as they kept him locked up under maximum security, I think that a wise society would have actually kept him alive. Researchers could then study the heck out a living specimen of a perfect serial killer, and given the way he was, Bundy himself could have contributed a lot to this body of knowledge. Society's advancement in this body knowledge could have improved society's ability to prevent/solve hundreds of future serial killings by future serial killers. |

No. That was Dahmer who was suspected although no evidence was found. Otis Toole confessed to it and is considered the actual murderer by both Walsh and the Authorities. |

I remember waking up extra early the morning of his execution so I could see the news broadcasts on it. I remember all the people standing alongside the road waiting for news and then erupting in applause when the dude came out waving his white hankerchief. At the time, his execution was national news.

He may have been a suspect, but it was Ottis Toole (Poole?-I forget which) who killed his son.
