Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
I totally don't understand this, how is zooming in on an HD TV going to make details appear that just aren't there in the photo? It's a grainy image, it doesn't matter how much you zoom in on it, it can't gain in resolution that simply isn't there to begin with. I doubt there is one in existence (because it's a crop of a larger image) but unless you have a higher res copy of that photo, a PS3, HD TV or even a magnifying glass surely isn't going to make clearer details appear? I'm not saying that the object isn't what you say it is but I've zoomed in using PaintShop Pro and I can't see any clear details. If you watch an old VHS tape on an HD TV, it won't magically look sharp and crisp, it'll still look like a crappy old VHS. In fact it would probably look even worse because all the defects will seem amplified |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
Sounds like a shitjob SS, and I mean that in a entirely unsmartassed manner. The details are there though, I'm not going to tell you or anyone else to do something like that unless I know what I'm talking about. I seem like a dumbshit to alot of people on here anyway, I don't wish to magnify my stupidity across such a widerange.

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
Bill, I just wanted to post a quick thanks for your photos and descriptions on this thread. September 11, 2001 screwed a lot of us up in one way or another. But getting to see the (literally) graphic details of the events at and around the WTC has been helpful to me. I was on the other side of the country when it happened. But to this day, I still occasionally have various nightmares about the WTC "jumpers". I can't tell you why, but part of me thinks it's my sub-conscious trying to fill in the gaps of what I saw/heard that day. But by researching and viewing materials like this over the years, it seems those nightmares have been decreasing in their frequency. For some, viewing pictures and depictions such as this are not merely about ogling gory pictures. Sometimes, it's just DIY brain-unfucking. :) |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
To see more detail in the image than what is already there at maximum pixel resolution is both physically and scientifically impossible. So any suggestion that there is more detail in the image I posted is simply false and very misleading.

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
Faced with certain death, in that situation, think for a sec. Would you jump? or would you just inhale as much smoke as you could and pass out? I would choose the latter if it were an option. I have been playing that scenario over and over ever since that day. After seeing almost all the jumper vids, and witnessing the second crash live, I noticed that the first jumpers caught on vid weren't hasty in their decision. Most were either hanging out windows to get air or climbing out to escape the heat and smoke. Knowing the inevitable was near a choice was made. Just my empathizing thoughts on facing this kind of inescapable death.
