Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
Depends how good you are at parachuting, its pretty hard in urban area i guess. Also fire that big makes some changes in the aircurrents, so you just might smack back into the tower. Just an educated guess. Besides, parachutes are expensive. |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
They have a quick open type that base jumpers use, but it opens pretty hard and can cause some injuries from what some have told me. They said it would not be the best type to use. I said it would have to beat a table cloth or curtains. At least you would have a chance that way. No parachute = no chance.

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
Okay so I thought it was just me. Then I zoomed in and still.... I don't get it. I see your "Where is Waldo comment" and I am like yeah so it wasn't just me. Thank you for the much needed reality check. And by the way, I have seen worse images of 911 on my cell phone. |

http://www.greenharbor.com/fffolder/...#anchor1234483 Also anyone with questions about the physics or survivability/results of impact, this site is unparalleled. It contains everything you want to know as well as amazing survivals of immense altitude free-falls (Particularly Stewardess Vesna Vulovic who survived a fall from 33,000 ft when her dc-9 airliner exploded over Czechoslovakia, the current record holder), as well as an FAQ question pertaining directly to the WTC jumper falls, though I'm not sure of anyone on this site is particularly interested in successful recovery from such a fall (no offense intended). |
