Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
Thank you for taking to time and effort to do that, I appreciate it, I really do. It is rather refreshing because so many these days say, get over it, move on, and shit like that, just like Codemonkey was talking about. I have news for some people, that will never happen for a sellect group of people. Namely the people that lost a loved one, or those that were there and witnessed the horror of that day. Some people lost one person, and that is bad enough, but others lost almost their entire family. I know most everyone has heard of survivor's guilt. If you ever doubt that this is a real tangible feeling, I hope you never have to find out otherwise. Trust me, it is real, and it will haunt you all the rest of your days. Thinking about that woman and her baby being forced into that situation pisses me off to the point of insanity, and it is something you can't "get over", or "let go" of, no matter how bad you want to. For those who say get over it, or let it go, do me a favor PLEASE. Put yourself in those towers, or on those planes. Had some crazy fucker decided to MURDER you and your family, would you want people to get over it, or move on and let it go ? Seriously people, imagine being 1,200 feet in the air, blinding, choking toxic smoke burning your eyes out, cooking your insides everytime you take a breath, disorienting you more with every breath you take. As if that was not bad enough, you look over and see people you have worked with for years give up hope and launch themselves out the windows and you see them explode all over the concrete below. Some might think you could not see what happens from that far up, I promise you that you can, unless the smoke is blinding you. The people jumping from the North Tower got those in the South Tower to get up and get the hell out. There are several documented cases in which the people in the South Tower saw the people hit and their bodies were destroyed. Really think about that, put yourself in that position, even if it makes you uncomfortable. At least you have the option to quit thinking about it, an option those poor souls did not have. |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
You have pretty much nailed it. The horrors those folks endured for an hour or two were much more than most would endure in a lifetime. These people deserved better. It puts things into perspective. The enormity of it still boggles my mind.

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
Yeah, those poor folks were what was left in the pentagon after Flight 77 smashed through it. I had a couple of people ask me if I thought those pictures were legit. I said hell yes they are, why would you ask that ? They said the poor man laying there is crispy on his arms, but his abdominal area is intact for the most part. I told them the human body is about 70 % (?) water, and even during cremations, they aim the gas jets at the abdominal cavity because it takes a bit longer to consume, because there is more fluid in that region than there is in the arms. |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
Codemonkey, and anyone else interested, I found the video I was talking about where the poor person jumped and landed in the West Side Highway's Southbound lane. I put it up in the last page of the "look close" video. 1 minute 52 second mark.

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical that was a Jumper at first. I didn't doubt they were human remains, but I figured it was just someone who was ejected from the impact zone after one of the planes struck one of the towers but whoever that was that Jumped was pretty dedicated to getting as far away as he could.
