Re: Pictures From The Diane Schuler Taconic Parkway Crash
My understanding is she had an empty bottle of vodka in the car. She tested positive for alcohol and marijuana. The husband can twist it any way it makes him feel better, but the bottom line are those toxicology tests.

Re: Pictures From The Diane Schuler Taconic Parkway Crash
The husband sounds like a right piece of work. Suing the guy who lost his nieces, cos he was the owner of the SUV she was driving ? What? There was no fault with it, the fault was his wife was an alcoholic and a stoner, who probably was suffering from a migraine that day on top of it. Not all alcoholics act drunk, and not all pot heads act stoned, especially if your tolerance is built up.

Re: Pictures From The Diane Schuler Taconic Parkway Crash
The reason I say migraine is because that's the only headache I know of that causes visual disturbances. Plus she was trying to buy painkillers so she obviously had pain somewhere. Plus she was sick. Another symptom of a migraine attack.

Re: Pictures From The Diane Schuler Taconic Parkway Crash
Just found this on Wikipedia There's Something Wrong with Aunt Diane (2011), directed by Liz Garbus for HBO Documentaries, establishes a timeline of events prior to the accident. The documentary suggests that Diane Schuler could have been suffering from severe pain caused by tooth abscess during the drive home, causing her to self-medicate with alcohol and marijuana (explaining why she was looking for painkillers at the gas station convenience store). The pain of the abscess combined with the drugs could have put her in a temporary state of delirium that triggered her fatal behavior. The documentary premiered July 25, 2011, on HBO.[59] |

One of the first HBO docs I watched. I think she had a problem and no one knew. Even the sister or whoever smoked and said "No one knows I smoke" when she was lighting up. |

There's not just something wrong with Aunt Diane, there's something wrong with Uncle Daniel, too. |

Turns out the husband is pretty much a lying sack of shit. Found this link that has some pretty interesting points about this tragedy: http://www.crimeinspector.com/diane-...-updated-2014/ |

Re: Pictures From The Diane Schuler Taconic Parkway Crash
Good point. And great photos! They touched on that in the documentary; that she may have smoked the marijuana and/or drank the Absolut in the car because the pain was bad. In the film the family got the dental records, and while she had recent dental work done, there were no severe issues noted that would cause such pain. I had a tooth that had me in excruciating pain and I ended up having it pulled to eliminate the pain. I couldn't take it;pain is no joke. But if I had that tooth pain and was driving a minivan full of kids, I sure as fuck would have called someone and asked for help because I couldn't function. She had her husband in his truck close to her when they left the campground, and could have called her brother when she got closer to where the accident happened. If that was the point of drinking/smoking, she became a soulless, horrible murderer the moment she took a drink or smoked with those children in the car. I think what makes this kind of fascinating (yet horrible for those children), is we will most likely never know. I think the only person who may have an idea is her husband, and he's not talking and I doubt he ever will. Or maybe he is as clueless as the rest of us. Sad case. I hope the families are starting to find peace. The parents of her nieces that she killed recently had another daughter with the generous help of a New York doctor. I know she will never replace their other girls, but I'm glad they were given another beautiful daughter in their lives. |
