Re: Pictures From The Diane Schuler Taconic Parkway Crash
On July 26, 2011, the day after the premiere of HBO's documentary on the subject, There's Something Wrong with Aunt Diane, and on the two year anniversary of the crash, Daniel Schuler announced that he is suing the State of New York for not keeping the road safe and his brother-in-law Warren Hance for being the owner of the minivan. SOUNDS LIKE THERES SOMETHING WRONG WITH DANIEL SCHULER... |

for you idiots asking if this is her, yes it is. She was killed in a head on crash going about 80mph, do you think her body would of remained "normal" looking? As stated these were pics displayed from the documentary

Poppy seeds can make you test positive for opiates, but not marijuana. Poppy seeds do not contain THC or CBDs like marijuana/hashish, just as the latter does not contain opiates/opioids. |

Nicotina was the married last name of one of the daughters of Mr. Bastardi. They are Italian names. Idiot.

Re: Pictures From The Diane Schuler Taconic Parkway Crash
I wanted to reach thru my computer screen and punch her husband in the throat when Jay, Diane's SIL, said that he was pissed at Diane because he never wanted kids and now he was "stuck" with "this". OMG. I hate that man. I am sure Diane didn't do it on purpose. I just wish she had been a lot more careful. I think she was a closet alcoholic and everyone is in denial. As far as him suing Diane's brother, the van owner to recover damages (I know he probably doesn't deserve them) he may be required to. I had an automobile accident once in which my best friend broker her arm. To get the medical benefits she was entitled to, she had to sue me. I never held it against her. It's standard operating procedure. |

Re: Pictures From The Diane Schuler Taconic Parkway Crash
People are still discussing this case. I also have on websleuths. It is perplexing because people really want to know what the fuck caused her to do this. A lot of evidence lends to her doing that on purpose. She took like 4 hours to get home on a 1.5 hour drive. She drove down the Taconic, past the place where she would eventually wreck, then came back down again to eventually end up going the wrong way. She was fucking loaded and got that way on the drive home. She was not an 'occasional' user. I bet she drank a lot. Her husband is a bad liar but to his defense they worked opposite shifts so he probably never knew how much she really drank. By outward appearances she seemed like great, loving career mom but she was over-stressed and bitter. She drove around trying to make up her mind so when she did it she looked calm and serene look as described by several witnesses. A look often used to describe people before they kill themselves jumping off a bridge. Or like that video from the interrogation room where the guy is just sitting there calmly, pulls a gun out then kills himself. I just cannot figure out why she would take her brother's kids out too, unless she secretly despised him.

Re: Pictures From The Diane Schuler Taconic Parkway Crash
I was fascinated with this story and spent countless hours reading and researching. The only thing that made sense to me is suicide. Like someone else mentioned, the booze and pot was used to numb herself out and give her the courage to do it. Horribly sad.

Re: Pictures From The Diane Schuler Taconic Parkway Crash
The more I wonder about this since I initially saw the HBO Documentary, the more unexplainable it seems. I wonder if possibly she had a bad reaction to Ambien? I have talked to people who have taken the medication for sleep and had very bizarre reactions, some that resulted in them doing things they normally wouldn't do. But we don't know and most likely never will. What really what makes this so fascinating is there are not many "clues" (for us amateur sleuths) and its so inconceivable. I continue to feel bad for the children. Terrible. I was very happy to read recently though that the parents that lost their daughters were able to have another child. I hope that continues to bring them peace and comfort. |

Re: Pictures From The Diane Schuler Taconic Parkway Crash
This is one of the most intriguing stories I've ever read about. I was consumed with it til there just wasn't anything left to read. Still no conclusive answer. I believe the husband knows something and most likely we will never know the rest of the story because he's taking that info to his grave. I read that they found some more holes in his story; namely that he actually arrived at the campsite a full day after he claimed that he did. Was he having an affair and Diane caught him when she surprised him by showing up to the lodge early? There are rumors that he wanted a divorce and told her before they left. Did she possibly catch him doing something to one of the children? We'll never really know. I think she was distressed and combined with the amount of alcohol she consumed, she went on a kamikaze mission determined to take those children with her. |
