Photos Rare Death of Marilyn Monroe
Marilyn Monroe, an iconic American actress and a major Hollywood star of the 1950s and early 1960s, tragically died on the evening of August 4, 1962, at the age of 36. Her death occurred in her home at 12305 Fifth Helena Drive in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California, and was attributed to a barbiturate overdose. Monroe's body was discovered the following morning, on August 5. She was found lying nude on her bed, face down, with a telephone in one hand and empty bottles of pills nearby, indicating the possibility of an overdose. However, the circumstances surrounding her death have been a subject of speculation and various theories over the years. Dr. Ralph Greenson, Monroe's psychiatrist, discovered her after breaking into her bedroom by smashing a window, only to find her lifeless with an empty bottle of sleeping pills. This discovery sparked numerous theories about the nature of her death, including speculations of a possible fatal injection. This theory was supported by the lack of pill capsules found in her body and a mysterious bruise on her lower body that remained unexplained. |
