Sharon Tate was a rising actress and model in the 1960s. On the night of August 8, 1969, she was brutally murdered at her home in Los Angeles, California. Tate was eight and a half months pregnant at the time. The gruesome crime was carried out by members of the Manson Family, a cult led by Charles Manson. Four of Manson's followers, Tex Watson, Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel, and Linda Kasabian, entered Tate's residence and committed the heinous act. During the horrifying incident, Sharon Tate and four other people who were present at the house—Jay Sebring, Voytek Frykowski, Abigail Folger, and Steven Parent—were all brutally stabbed to death. The crime scene shocked the nation, and the brutality of the murders became a symbol of the dark side of the counterculture movement of the 1960s. The trial that followed gained significant media attention, and the Manson Family members were ultimately convicted of first-degree murder. Sharon Tate's murder remains an infamous and tragic event in true crime history, leaving a lasting impact on Hollywood and society as a whole. |

Horrible The Tate murders were so unnecessary and frustrating. One reason why I loved "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" was that they turned Manson's "family" into a bunch of buffoons and completely shredded the myth surrounding them. And Margot Robbie really was Sharon Tate. No wonder Debra Tate was so overjoyed after seeing the film. |

Crimes with no real motives are some of the worst. Let's all take a moment to be thankful Manson is dead.

I thought Once Upon A Time In Hollywood was one of QT's worst films, and I despise Margot Robbie, but I did enjoy the revisionism in the ending quite a bit, even if QT is a bit of a parasitic 'tard who would be nothing if he didn't absorb all those exploitation films of the 60s/70s. Love to contemplate an alternate timeline where Sharon et al survived.

I don't think she's going to get by. She's basically institutionalized after being imprisoned for so long. Prior to her sentence her life experience practically consisted of being a member of Manson's cult which isn't exactly something one would call a 'normal' life. I wouldn't be surprised should she commit a crime again in order to get back to jail. It's the most familiar environment to her after all.
