I also find it bizarre you'd talk about the survivors and families in Paris, then be fine with Germany's innocents being eliminated in one fell swoop. Not to mention, much of the carpet bombing in Germany was actually fairly pointless and mostly didn't hit any targets worth a damn.

Hypocrite much? I would also bet my shorts that if we had such military ability as we do now, back then, we wouldn't have carpet bombed and still got the job done. Unless you believe military technology hasn't advanced in 70 years.

The problem is that there are countries too worried about being PC to run in and kill terrorists directly, so they take hands off approaches, arm rebels and cross their fingers those rebels won't be bought out, won't be extorted for their cache or won't be attacked hard enough to lose control. Too many damn PC countries who are too worried about being hyper-labeled with a number of "phobic" to turn away people they don't know.
