I was in Cruces the day they took out that asshole. They shut down the downtown I-10 area, making all the traffic(18-wheelers) go through town which is what made it so memorable, and then the video quickly got posted to facebook of them taking the guy out.

I only saw this footage of the cop being killed a few days ago(realizing I had driven on that same stretch recently as well), but it's that type of thing you just want to put out of sight and out of mind when you realize that it happens close to you. It's like that conversation in the TV series of Fargo that Lorne Malvo has with the cop, that basically reminds us all that there are some people you just do not want to cross paths with.
