I don't take issue with it. I am a gun owner myself and take great pride in that privillage If I’m a regular joe who obeys the law and I want to buy a gun why should I not be able to walk to my local FFL and buy a gun and go home with it that same day? go for it Tell me what is wrong with that scenario. Why should I have to wait a week? Ever been so mad at someone you wanted to kill them? That's why wait times exist... so you cannot just go out buy a gun legally and go kill someone when your seeing red. Why should I be subject to extra taxes? lol

If I’m a criminal who is banned from owning or possessing a firearm I cannot walk down to my local FFL and do the same based on the laws of the land. No you cant, your right. You go to literally any of your friends and ask them to either give you a gun or sell you a gun or buy you a gun. Like I said previously guns are everywhere in the states and more easy and cheaper to acquire than fiber internet. What more do you want? You want to restrict what law-abiding joe can own? What he can buy? Or do you want to try and restrict what the criminal can do by penalizing the law abiders, because that’s effectively what happens since criminals, by definition, don’t obey the law.

Because of the rotten apples you want to restrict the many more that DO obey the law? That’s pretty fucked up. Are you equating a dangerous murderer to a rotten apple gun owner? lol

In 2019 just over 10,000 people were killed as a result of drunk-driving incidents. Many innocent motorists who were just out and about, others small children who were playing around their neighborhood. Is it the number of gun deaths that bother you? If so, I sure hope you’re as against legal purchases of alcohol as you seem to be against legal purchase of firearms. Firmly against and abhor the concept and practice of prohibition - especially by governing bodies. In that particular circumstance I think it is a means by the state to oppress its populace. I am against the prohibition of firearms You don’t even have to fill out paperwork or have a background check to buy alcohol....talk about easy.

i point out that those prohibited from owning firearms cant go out and buy a gun. you say that they can just go out and get it from their friend (against the law if they are prohibited from owning or possessing a gun), buy one from a friend (again, illegal if they are prohibited from owning/possessing a gun), or have their friend buy them one (strawman gun purchase, specific law created just for that scenario). seems like updated gun laws have addressed your listed concerns and made the end result (a criminal with a gun in hand) illegal. you clearly state that guns are everywhere and easy to obtain, so are you proposing we go about getting rid of guns? actually taking guns from people? not producing them anymore?

i know the difference between right and wrong, murder = bad. in my life i've never been so mad at someone that i would take the time to go to a gun store, purchase a gun, and find that person again to shoot them. now, just because i wouldn't do that doesn't mean someone else wouldnt but why should I have to wait to take home the gun i legally purchased? that was the point of my question "why should i have to wait a week?" so....why the hell should i have to wait a week? because some guy, somewhere, sometime ago got so mad he went and bought a gun and shot someone he was arguing with? yeah, thats fucked up that i have to suffer the consequences of his actions.

you ask: are you equating a dangerous murderer to a rotten gun owner?

uh.....yeah. if they murder someone with a gun how does than NOT make them a rotten gun owner in addition to a rotten human being.

also, you don't think alcohol-related incidents is a problem that needs addressing? in fact....over 95 THOUSAND deaths each year are attributed to excessive alcohol use. that trumps guns by a long shot. but i digress because we don't want to talk about things that kill americans in much greater quantity than guns as that would distract us from from figuring out what is killing americans and what can be done about.

you state you're against prohibition of firearms, you point out that our gun laws are antiquated, you also point out that criminals don't obey the law anyway. so again....just what are you proposing? this will become very circuitous, very quickly unless you actually put forth something other than little rebuttals.

you want a national gun registration? want a national ban on "high capacity" magazines? AR ban? universal background checks?

i think the laws in place dont need to be changed at all. as for your side, i can't tell if you actually have an argument or are just whining about how old our gun laws are and how there are too many guns. if thats the case then i guess we can just stop here

Just think. If the ****** hadn't been trying to protect the world from evil window tint, he'd still be alive to violate other people's rights.

Officer could have stood, weapon in hand, shielded by the truck. Command him to put hands on the hood of the truck and move feet backwards to put him in an off balance position, then secure him. How in God's name do you allow the guy to leave the vehicle carrying ANYTHING. Hard to hear with the wind interference but it sounded like the cop knew he had a weapon.
What department are you with? Let me guess .... civilian know it all PD

Sorry, but the cop was rather dense. Why in the world did he let the suspect exit his vehicle like that, hands completely obscured, until it was too late? Well, at least it was quick.
