The Murder of Ennis Cosby, Son of Comedian Bill Cosby
On January 16, 1997, Ennis Cosby, the son of comedian Bill Cosby, was murdered in California. The incident occurred when Ennis Cosby was driving along Interstate 405 in Los Angeles, California. His vehicle suffered a flat tire, prompting him to pull over to the roadside. While attempting to change the tire, he was confronted by a 19-year-old man named Mikhail Markhasev. Markhasev demanded money from Ennis Cosby, leading to a confrontation that turned deadly. Ennis Cosby was shot in the head during the altercation, resulting in his death. The murder of Ennis Cosby generated widespread outrage and prompted an extensive investigation to apprehend the perpetrator. Subsequently, Mikhail Markhasev was arrested, charged with first-degree murder, and brought to trial. In 1998, he was found guilty of the murder of Ennis Cosby and received a life sentence without the possibility of parole.  · |
