What doesn't make sense to me is that if it was a justified killing for a serial killer, why didn't the General or whoever try to get the true story out? If the general or anyone was more vocal about telling the truth behind the story, wouldn't more people have heard and then not hate the guy?

I have always been interested in the Vietnam conflict & have a large number of books on the subject in my personal library, but not one tells anything close to what I have seen & read here.
