Jayne Mansfield wasn't scalped, she had a wig on. (She's begun to lose her hair after years of pretty much chemically frying it)

 I'm pretty sure I read some where that that photo is what remains of a female terrorist after being shot  with a high powered sniper rifle. But either way, it is definitely not Cobain. |

Nice Find Friend,  I never saw that photo of Redding still in the seat like that. I wasn't sure that it really was him at first. But after comparing in both photos some of the cuts on his face, his over all body position and the shape his hand is frozen in. It's safe to say that it is definitely Otis Redding, and once again, Nice Find Friend. |

It should also be noted that he was traveling with five members of his band "The Bar Kays". There were six members but one was traveling on a bus as there was no room on the plane. Four of the band members died along with Redding, except for trumpet player Ben Cauley. On an episode of "Unsung" (TVOne) Ben would talk about watching how he tried to grab his best friend Falon (sp) Jones and watched as he slipped away in the current. To me that was the saddest episode I've seen to date. The pic with Redding still strapped in is amazing. I was always surprised that they even had a pic of him after the crash. I wonder if there are photos of the band members though. |

Jayne Mansfield's hair was a hair piece, not part of her body. She was originally said to be decapitated or scalped. Kurt Cobain's face was not blown off. There are other pictures on here showing the real death scene. I thought Otis Redding was in another plane crash. Nice to see he wasn't looking like a piece of burnt roast like some unfortunate souls. |
