Re: Mass Shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Parkland, Florida
Probably what msm told them to. Had they actually read the transcript in its context, and not rely on sounbytes followed by commentary from someone reading a script handed down from the editing floor, they would discover that Trump was referring to people on trial for committing crimes. Their guns should be confiscated until the trial is over. |

Re: Mass Shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Parkland, Florida
Well he was speaking to that, as well as other things. As usual he was so unprepared and uninformed. He told the senator that took on the NRA, who wrote a bill that didn't pass, that the NRA was strongly against. Tha t he was afraid of the NRA. Thats so fucking embarrassing, that our leader doesn't know what he's even talking about for one. And for two, he's siding with the left to get gun control measures passed. He's not just talking about people arrested. He's talking about passing a law that would give law enforcement the ability to confiscate guns without any arrest. I fucking guarantee, if Obama said exactly what Trump did. The Trump loving media would be going ballistic. You want to talk about our culture going to shit. This is part of that. Can't you see that? That people are above principles. Trump is no different than LeBron James or any other celebrity that our culture holds on a pedestal. He hasn't earned it, he hasn't done things to show us he is right. He doesn't even stand for certain things consistently. There's a large segment of the population that embrace whatever he says. They turn on or dislike whatever or whoever he speaks against. |

Re: Mass Shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Parkland, Florida
Had this been anything official I'd be more critical. It being nothing but an attempt at an bipartisan discussion on the issues doesn't mean shit, really. The tards on the right think he's doing a 180 mostly because he acknowledged the NRAs lobbying pressures. That's not anything new. He pointed out lobbyist in his campaign. Part of being objective in a bipartisan discussion is actually acknowledging the obvious. To me, why just attack the NRA? The moral position is that they support gun rights and guns killed some kids, so NRA is baaaaaaad. All while staying silent to AIPAC that consistently lobbies to put guns in kids hands and ship em off to the middle East. Big Pharma lobbies to put a jar of pills in every kid's hands. Yet, where is the leftist politicians moral high ground on those two? Nowhere to be found. Many leftist politicians have dual citizenship and personal interest in both, so you won't hear anything. They will go hump the wall, and shake the drug dealers hand. But I hope Trump does take it out of a meaningless bipartisan discussion and totally goes gun-grab mode. Maybe, then, will all these "need em for tyranny" will actually use their "god given right" and put it to practice. Otherwise, it's just a toy. |

Re: Mass Shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Parkland, Florida
So the percentage of citizens who would form militias, and fight tyranny will be much less than if Obama were implementing the laws. Because that's what our culture has become, worshipping of individuals, instead of concrete beliefs. Everyone is as spineless as Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh. Anderson Cooper or Rachel Maddow. Leaders don't represent us anymore, we represent them. That won't change under Trump no matter what he does. |

Re: Mass Shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Parkland, Florida
This is NOT a GUN problem. This is a SOCIAL problem. A MORAL problem. Guess what, more and more evidence is FINALLY coming to the surface that the GOVERNMENT of the Broward county FAILED its citizens. The sheriffs department and the school district were full tilt in the process of REDUCING ARRESTS OF ANY TEENS and issue citations instead. A total SOCIAL JUSTICE failure! The school would get credit for not having students in jail, the sheriff got great press cause ARRESTS were down. Sure, if you're not actually arresting teens for crimes, then great arrests are down, but teen crime was up. It wasn't just the Cruz calls that were being ignored, it was all teen crime, and the lax policing of the town. |
