Re: Marilyn Monroe Autopsy Picture

The abortions rumour started because apparently during her marriage to DiMaggio she had an ectopic pregnancy that had to be aborted. The rumour escalated Over the years. She truly wanted children and was devastated she couldn't have them. There were supposedly a few pregnancies during her life that miscarried which is probably where the rumours came from.

I know she had a miscarriage during her marriage to Arthur Miller. I heard rumour that when she signed onto 20th century fox there was a stipulation in her contract that she remain pregnancy free because it would interrupt their filming schedules and make the studio to look bad - rumours went further to say she aborted a few mistakes to avoid termination of her contract but this is just speculation from friends and so-called experts.

Diss her if you like accuse her of all sorts, whatever. Yes, she did some bad things that ruined her reputation. However she wasn't necessarily a bimbo and a bad person. If you read her diaries and letters, etc, you'd see that despite her supposed loose morals and the stupidity she was forced to play on screen she was a woman who was highly intelligent. She had a very tragic life that went wrong from the get go, and she herself ended up with several mental illnesses which right now might be considered normal and well documented but at the time hadn't even been recognised or researched yet. yes she was a drug addict, but she was trying to self medicate a LOT of pain away. Not justifiable by any means, but she wasn't getting proper psychiatric treatment. These days, this woman would have been spending about four months a year in and out of psychiatric care showing the behaviours she did. Back then there wasn't as much mental health awareness as there is now, there was a stigma about being mentally ill.

I feel quite sorry for her.

In that last autopsy pic she almost looks peaceful. Hope she found it.

Re: Marilyn Monroe Autopsy Picture

Despite whatever you may think of Marilyn Monroe, she was an amazing person. She had a shitty childhood (essentially an orphan), and made it into show business. She became one of the most famous actresses in the world. Not only that, but when Ella Fitzgerald was denied access to a club because she was black? Marilyn Monroe demanded her entrance and Ella said she was the nicest woman.

Consider this: Marilyn Monroe died (or was killed) in 1962. While various forms of contraception has been around for so long, modern birth control pills have only been widely available since the 60's.

I agree that she was awesome, but can one really be "essentially"an orphan? Lol. Or is that like Nearly-Headless Nick?

Re: Marilyn Monroe Autopsy Picture

and I think this is not the original position she has been displaced The lividity shows looks like she's died lying on her on the back or rather on her left side at the moment at her death

No, it's not. That's a painted bronze sculpture called "At Rest" by Paolo Schmidlin. It's a representation of her in her coffin.

Re: Marilyn Monroe Autopsy Picture

I thought I read that she desperately wanted a baby and couldn't have one.
