I remember seeing this case on 20/20 he lied and made up some elaborate story that a lady with big Hat and and she had a candle and she was with a few men did it. Blamed it on a cult group. He got the idea from a magazine that was right on his coffee table. He got away with it...but then his BIG Mouth got him back in trouble when he was on a interview years later. He wanted to start over and be a Free Man. But he will meet his maker one day and Oh Boy..he will get his.   |

Outstanding post, and I really appreciate the pics of the family prior to the murders. Being unfamiliar with the details of the crime, I was never convinced he was guilty. Opinion modified.

I have a friend who was stationed at Ft. Bragg in the early '80's as an MP. One of the regular door-shake checks at night was the MacDonald unit at 544 Corregidor Court. She took a lot of crazy photos of that place at night, and it is FUCKING EERY. Additionally, she was inside a time or two to allow officials entrance to the unit, and managed to snap a few pics of the interior. One I remember was the refrigerator with art the kids had done affixed with magnets. Food in still in cupboards, dirty dishes in the sink, and relics from the emergency response the first night and subsequent investigation. If she'll scan some and send them to me, you'll see them here.

I remember watching a documentary about this & I remember that the wife was pregnant. I don't remember how far along she was. I wonder how anyone could kill their family & I also wonder what evidence they had against him since he was still a practicing physician for ? years until his arrest & conviction. So sad...  |
