The Boy In the Box Crime Scene Photos
This is one of the saddest stories I've read. He did nothing wrong, really? What kind of monsters do this? Picture 1-the child in the box he was found in Picture 2-shot of his bruised feet Picture 3-A photo of the boy's wrinkled right hand ("washerwoman effect")This condition indicated that the hand had been immersed in water for an extended period, either shortly before or after death. The soles of both feet were also wrinkled. Picture 4-The location, spacing, alignment, size and shape of the bruises suggests the possibility that they were caused by strong pressure being applied by an adult human hand, perhaps while the individual was cutting the boy's hair. Picture 5-Close-up of right side of head provides a good view of the "amateur haircut" and row of oval bruises Picture 6-It is unlikely that the boy would have suffered such extensive bruising merely through "rough play" or by accidentally falling Picture 7-Although some lacerations were found on the boy's neck, the dark markings that look like bruises were most likely due to the post mortem phenomenon known as Livor Mortis, a purplish discoloration of the skin caused by settling of the blood to the lowest areas of the body after death. In the case of a body that has been lying face up, the blood will tend to settle in the nape of the neck, lower back, and buttocks. Picture 8-Note multiple bruises on left arm, above elbow. Picture 9-Though somewhat difficult to discern in this photograph, there were bruises on the boy's right arm and upper chest. Picture 10-Photo of the unknown boy dressed in typical children's clothing. An attempt by detectives to make him "more recognizable". |

Re: The Boy In the Box Crime Scene Photos
It's amazing to me that he was never identified, he must have been five years old or so, how could anyone not know him? The pictures really creep me out though, poor kid.

You ought to visit a site called the Doe Network, they have hundreds of files on missing and unidentified people. They have unidentified bodies dating back to the late 1800's!
