The Iceman! Did you see the interviews w/ him on HBO? And the one w/ Dr. Park Dietz?? He has NO fear, no feelings, and he wished he could.

Re: Interested in Serial Killers

There are and have been just as much if not more serial killers in Europe as in North America, A lot of the most prolific European serial killers of the last decades where from behind the iron curtain though, and it was basically official policy to deny the existence of any serial killers in the Soviet bloc during the Soviet Era. But just think about the Chessboard killer Alexander Pichuskin, Andrei Chikatilo and Anatoly Prienko. They have a combined total of almost 170 victims between the three of them. And don't forget there are a dozen serial killers who where convicted of killing 15-25 people in several Western European countries. And the English doctor Harold Shipman, who is estimated to have killed several hundreds of patients, by far topping the list. For some reason, probaply the american obsession with serial killers and violence, american serial killers are much more represented in the media compared to European serial killers.
I really think it is because we have ways to catch on to them a lot quicker, like w/ VICAP...and Profiling. I heard criminal profiling started in Canada. The RCMP usually gets their man, and boy, they have their work cut out for them regarding "Highway of Tears."
We do have tools just for serials, and the FBI has a unit just for Truckers now, because there are so many Truckers that are serials. There are so many now, we will not know, until they are caught.

Re: Interested in Serial Killers

oh yes! Tonight on Discovery ID, is the story about Adam Walsh's kidnap and murder. Since John Walsh announced the Ottis Toole killed Adam, I hope I can understand why he feels that way. Henry Lee Lucas claimed all those murders, and even now, they are still "unlinking" him to many murders he claimed to have done. And Toole and Lucas seemed to be trying to "outdo" the other, w/ Toole saying he was a cannibal. Also, Lucas was out on DR because of "Orange Socks" and there is proof he was not in the area of her murder...
Toole has claimed a while back he killed Adam, and they had his truck for 30 years but something happened to it. Then he denied killing Adam, but then he told his niece on his deathbed he actually did kill Adam. And she told Walsh 7 years later.

Re: Interested in Serial Killers

If anyone can find crime scene photos for Robert Napper that would be awesome. Supposedly, the police photographer who witnessed the crime scene needed therapy for two years afterwards.

Belle Gunness....that bitch killed so many with poison! Wasnt she found in a shallow grave with a baby on her? I hope she Rots!
As much I have read about torture murder, I feel better hoping that Leonard Lake o even Bundy Victims went into shock and did not feel a thing. But this bitch and many other women like her made sure these victims suffered. Poisoning is one of the sickest way to murder!

Re: Interested in Serial Killers

Serial killer John "Pogo the Clown" Gacy had the 26 bodies in his house. Got caught when he opened the door wearing his Pogo clown suit & the postman thought something looked & smelt funny.
can't tell if you're joking or not but gacy actually got caught when a young boy he lured into his lair beat the shit out of him after he started to toy with him physically

Re: Interested in Serial Killers

It shocks me that you've all forgotten about Anders Behring Breivik already, which is currently listed as the nr.1 serial killer of all time.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anders_Behring_Breivik
I don't think politically motivated mass murder really counts. If Breivik is a serial killer, than so are Ted Kaczynski and Tim McVeigh. Also, in terms of numbers Behram The Thug and Elizabeth Bathory are the #1 serial killers (male/female)

Re: Interested in Serial Killers

Thread is decent, but still lacking. Charles Starkweather, Adolfo de Jesus Constanzo, Ed Kemper, Herbert Mullin, James Oliver Huberty, Pedro Lopez, Gilles de Rais, Westley Allan Dodd, Kristen "The Angel of Death" Gilbert, H.H. Holmes, The Harpe Brothers, and even Henry Lee Lucas are absent. Also no discussion of the 'Long Island Ripper'; man or men responsible for at least 8 sets of remains found this year in that area of NY/NJ

Umm - it depends a lot on the type of poison.
Euthanasia is typically barbituate poisoning.

Well, make threads for them, then.
