Re: Gary Coleman Death Pictures
In July of 1998, while shopping for a bulletproof vest at a suburban Los Angeles shopping center, Coleman was approached by an autograph-seeking female fan. He signed his name, but the woman pressed him for a longer, more personal message. The details of what transpired are unclear. A loud verbal fight ensued, with both parties claiming the other was being insulting. The woman allegedly told Coleman that his attitude was the reason he had no success as an actor, he then tore up the autograph. Coleman allegedly ended up hitting the woman in the face and knocking her down, and then continued hitting her after she fell. The woman, a bus driver, was five-foot six inches tall and weighed over 200 pounds, and Coleman claimed she became rude and aggressive, frightening him and provoking the attack. "She was getting scary," Coleman testified, according to CourtTV online. "The hair on my neck was beginning to stand on its end." Coleman added, "I'm four-foot eight inches, 86 pounds of nothing. I was getting scared, and she was getting ugly." Coleman originally faced up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine for battery. He wound up pleading no contest to a charge of disturbing the peace, received a 90-day suspended sentence, was ordered to take anger management classes, and was fined $1,580. The woman filed a $1.25 million civil suit against Coleman only 24 hours after the altercation, which suggested to the defense that the woman had provoked Coleman in an attempt to cash in on his fame. Re: Gary Coleman Death Pictures
Good find Kel. I think it is a little sad that she made money off of these though. Obviously she didn't really care for him as much as she said she did. Think she would be leaning more toward keeping some 'dignity' about his death. One thing that they get leaked, totally another that one of the people who was supposed to love him sold him out.

Re: Gary Coleman Death Pictures
Here's a little about him and his wife... sounds like love to me! From the AP Monday, February 18, 2008: LOS ANGELES — Gary Coleman has not yet had sex with his wife, even though the two married in August, he told "The Insider." "It will happen when it happens," he said. And in an interview with "Inside Edition," the couple said they fight so much that "yes," bride Shannon Price has feared for her safety. But by now, she said, "I'm used to it." The police were even called during one domestic dispute and cited Coleman. The former "Diff'rent Strokes" star married 22-year-old Price in August on a mountaintop in Nevada, but they have been keeping their vows under wraps, the pair told "Inside Edition" last week. "Nobody was around but the minister, preacher, the videographers, the photographer, the helicopter pilot and us," Coleman, 40, said on Tuesday's broadcast of the program. Coleman met Price on the set of the 2006 comedy "Church Ball." Price said it was she who proposed to Coleman, but that he surprised her on her birthday by whisking her to a mountaintop in the Valley of Fire State Park to exchange vows. She said they kept their wedding secret because she wanted to keep being seen as her own person. "I just want my own identity as well because I don't want to be known as Gary Coleman's wife," she said. Coleman played down their age differences, saying "I don't have issues with age, I have issues with intelligence ... She's more intelligent than I am and that's what matters to me." Price, who is 5-foot-7, and Coleman, who is 4-foot-8, also played down their height gap. "That doesn't really matter to me," she said. "He was 10 feet tall to me because he was sweet and I really liked his personality." |
