Faryion Edward Wardrip, Serial Killer, Crime Scene Pictures & Bio.
Wichita Falls, Texas, January 20, 1999 - Faryion Wardrip, a seemingly ordinary Texan, confessed to a series of gruesome murders that shocked the nation. Wardrip's confession revealed a dark and twisted side that had remained hidden for years. Born in 1959, Faryion Wardrip led a relatively unremarkable life until the late 1980s and early 1990s when he embarked on a killing spree that terrorized Wichita Falls, Texas. His victims were primarily young women, and his crimes went unsolved for years, leaving a community in fear. Wardrip's deadly rampage came to an end in 1999 when he was arrested and subsequently confessed to the murders of four women. His confessions were detailed and chilling, shedding light on the brutality of his crimes. He described how he lured his victims, strangled them, and then disposed of their bodies in remote areas. The investigation into Wardrip's crimes uncovered evidence linking him to the murders, including DNA evidence that definitively linked him to the killings. His confessions and the physical evidence left no doubt about his guilt. In 1999, Faryion Wardrip pleaded guilty to the murders and was sentenced to death. |

Victim #2 Toni Jean Gibbs. John Little, who joined the District Attorney's investigative team in 1993 was going over a file on Ellen Blau, another murder victim, when a name came up that sparked his memory, Faryion Edward Wardrip. Ellen Blau's roommate remembered Wardrip and felt uncomfortable around him. Little remembered that Wardrip had been a janitor, then an orderly, at the hospital where Gibbs had worked. Toni had felt comfortable with Faryion enough to give him a ride home. That was the last ride of her life. A forensic lab in Dallas compaired the DNA found from Toni Gibbs' body and DNA from Wardrip. Faryion Wardrip could not be excluded as the contributor of the DNA left on Toni Gibbs. This was enough evidence for Little to get an arrest warrant for Faryion Wardrip. After learning that DNA evidence linked him to the murder of Gibbs, Wardrip confessed to her murder along with Terry Sims, Debroah Taylor, and Ellen Blau's murders. In 1999 at the age of 40, Farylon Wardrip was convicted of killing Terry Sims, Toni Gibbs, Deborah Taylor, and Ellen Blau. He was sentenced to death. |

Victim #3 Debra Sue Taylor. Debra called a cousin and set up a meeting at a neighbourhood bar for a drink. Her cousin left after a quick visit but Debra was enjoying the music and laughter at the bar, so she stayed. After leaving the bar she vanished. Debra's husband reported her missing to the police the following Monday. Everyone who knew Debra knew she would not leave her children or husband by her choice. Police focused the investigation on her husband. Even though her husband took three polygraph tests that showed no deception, the police still focused on him as the perpetrator. The following Friday a worker at a construction site found Debra's body. Debra's husband was eventually cleared of her murder. For years after Taylor's death, the investigation was handled by several different detectives but was met with no success. It eventually became a cold case but was re-opened with the confession of Fayrion Wardrip. Eventually DNA would solve four murder cases related to Fayrion Wardrip, 21-year-old Terry Sims, 23-year-old Toni Gibbs, 21-year-old Ellen Blau and 25-year-old Debra Taylor. |

It's amazing to me that serial killers keep it together mentally long enough to kill again and again, it seems to me they blur the line between fantasy and reality so much that they would give themselves away because they couldn't tell what was real anymore.

I have often wondered the same, he's no less a savage than many others who are way more known, I have known who this guy was for 10 years plus but he is probably generally only known in TX.
