BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, November 25, 2020 — The world is mourning the loss of Diego Maradona, one of soccer's most legendary figures. News of his passing has reverberated globally, marking the end of an era in the world of sports.

Born on October 30, 1960, in Lanús, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, Diego Maradona was destined for greatness from an early age. His extraordinary skills, unmatched agility, and football brilliance swiftly catapulted him to superstardom. Maradona's career was filled with unforgettable moments, including the iconic "Hand of God" goal and the "Goal of the Century" during the 1986 World Cup, where he led Argentina to victory.

Despite his unparalleled success on the field, Maradona grappled with personal challenges throughout his life, including battles with addiction and health concerns. His larger-than-life persona and on-and-off-field controversies contributed to the mystique and complexity of his character.

Tragically, on November 25, 2020, Diego Maradona's life was abruptly cut short when he suffered a heart attack at his residence in Tigre, Argentina.

Today all Argentinians pay respect to the most glorious soccer player of all times.

Sadly a stupid employee of the mortuary took a selfie with Diego in the coffin and it went viral here in Argentina. Obviously that guy was fired and will face charges for his actions.

His family made the right decision. Those fútbol mad Argentinians would've torn up Maradona's coffin the same way the Iranians did when Ayatollah Khomeini died in 1989.

I'll always argue for Garrincha... mentally not all there, physical disabilities, and considered the greatest dribbler in history. With his legs he wasn't even supposed to walk later in life much less play football.
