Re: Crime Scene Pictures From The McDonald's Massacre in 1984
Mass killing actually happened more often earlier in time. The proliferation of social media, 24 hour news all tied to our hips makes the incidents seem fresh in our minds. Gacy, Bundy, Manson, Valentine's Day Massacre, the Bath school bombing (still the deadliest school massacre in history killing almost 50), OKC Bombing, Stockton Schoolyard shooting, Whitman from the Tower, Zodiac killer, the DeFoe Massacre in Amityville, etc. etc. etc. Hell, the 70's were one of the most deadly in mass violence. Oh and can't forget the teen kids who shot up a school in Arkansas in the late 90's and got out on their 21st birthday, something like 5-6 years in juvie for killing 5 or 6. While we've had a couple of really horrific mass killings in recent memory, we aren't nearly as bad as it was for mass and serial killers. One study of incidents stopped by armed civilians suggests we are stopping 7-10x more deaths overall than would happen without it such as the Oregon mall shooting where the guy did get a few people but was confronted by a CCW and ran off and shot himself or the Mayan Palace non-shooter who was shot and killed before lighting up the place. |

No bullshit...I was working at a university in Boston, during the summer in college, and one of the professors was on vacation in San Diego. He and his family were IN THAT MCDONALDS, and left 15 MINUTES before the murders. He heard about it that night (remember no computers), and was still a bit in shock when he came back from vacation. Now that'll stick with you.

Nice post, thank you. I was little when this happened and never knew about it, very sad. Husband or not, if someone told me they were going out to hunt humans I would've called about it. :/

Absolutely. His wife seemed smug to me. I know it's not fair to judge her based on a one minute clip but she seemed so flat.

I lived about a mile away from the scene when this occurred. Completely senseless act from a bunch of complete degenerate losers. Deltona has really gone downhill in the last ten years.
