I don't think she's going to get by. She's basically institutionalized after being imprisoned for so long. Prior to her sentence her life experience practically consisted of being a member of Manson's cult which isn't exactly something one would call a 'normal' life. I wouldn't be surprised should she commit a crime again in order to get back to jail. It's the most familiar environment to her after all.

Not sure about over there, but here in Australia they would be having days out and teaching people ways of doing things. They try get them ready for the outside world. Dunno how she'd go regardless , you would think her mental health would have to be stable for release
