How laughable is the international media? Pretty laughable. Someone can rip the video if they want. Apparently, there's "blood in every corner" of the US. And we'll just ignore that the shooters possessed the guns illegally already, as a result of California's gun laws, in which you can't give or sell a rifle without registering it with California. And murder is already illegal and IIRC, has been for quite some time.

And we'll just pretend we are as lily white as the countries these reporters are in and ignore the vast cultural differences from Cali to Texas to Minnesota to New York. No, we need "change".

Let's say I buy into it that guns are the problem. What exactly do you propose to do about already illegal guns, illegally obtained committing a crime? Barring frisking a citizen every couple of hours and daily home searches - I'm thinking... not much.

That said, mass shootings by gunmen alone are down. Despite the BBC's assertions that somehow we're all walking around with guns aimed at each other and this stat:

There have been 294 mass shootings - defined as an incident in which four or more people are killed or injured by gun - so far in 2015, more than one per day.

It includes terrorist incidents (which I think, I think, happened in Paris recently...) and incidents where the gunman themselves is a victim (either by police, self-defense or armed citizen) and includes drug deals like a situation where two couples during a drug deal got into a fight, scrapped then all pulled guns on each other. In Vox's silly assertions, it includes people who were harmed by ANY means "during" a shooting, including someone who was trampled, caught in police crossfire, etc.

Or the ominous stat:

Over the same period, there have been 45 shootings at schools, and 142 such incidents since the massacre at Sandy Hook elementary on 14 December 2012 - although those figures include occasions when a gun was fired but no-one was hurt.

Which includes suicides anywhere near a school, in front of a school, or in a "campus shooting", a man who shot a cheating wife, an apartment off-campus where a student happened to be in attendance or accidental/aimless discharge such as this "school shooting":

At approximately 4:00 a.m., a 21-year-old student fired a .45-caliber handgun from a campus parking garage, hitting the exterior of a residence building.

Or this incident:

A 21-year-old Montana Tech student was cleaning a firearm when he unintentionally discharged a round into the floor of his university-owned apartment.

But yes, there is blood in every corner. Apparently, floors and walls bleed these days.

How many mass shootings were committed in the US this year by people of the Islamic Faith? Oh, one. How many mass shootings were done in the U.S. by others? Oh, 352 (353 including the San Bernardino). That's 0.28% of mass shootings done by muslims this year.

You don't really sound too racist, you just sound like a person with special needs.
