Nice. What caliber you carry just wonderin. I normally carry .40 (since I only have one pistol, a S&W 4013TSW, atm) but am looking to switch to 9mm (probably a Glock or a M&P Shield when in the next few months when I get some more $$.

Such a shame to lose a beautiful, talented young lady so soon. I am reminded of the Rebecca Schaeffer case. She was a young actress who was shot by a weirdo named David Barto. To hear him describe how she died is horrifying. You can tell by the shape of his head, he had some brain damage going on. |

Hornady Critical Defense .380 has low-flash powder and a bullet that expands well out of short barrels. I used to carry it in my P3AT until Federal came out with HST in .380.

Federal HST in 9x19mm 147-grain is pretty amazing stuff. It used to be that 147gr wouldn't feed/expand reliably, particularly out of short-barreled pistols. But with amazing-expansion bullets like the HST, you can carry 147gr in your compact carry piece and not only get great expansion, but also better penetration than 115gr. But don't take my word for it. Check out the bazillion ballistic gel test vids on YT. It's getting to the point that 9mm ballistics performance is closing the gap between .40/.45 to the point that many are switching back to 9mm for the smaller-sized guns that pack a big punch, thanks to ammunition improvements.  |
