Charlie was a product of his environment and childhood. He spent most of his life in an institutional setting before the killings. In 1967 he told the officials at Terminal Island that he did not want to be released from prison. In retrospect, it's not surprising what happened. The creepiest one of the bunch, though, is Tex Watson. It was no accident that they showed up at the LaBianca house. Suzan LaBerge, Rosemary LaBianca's stepdaughter has spent decades trying to get her mother's killer out of prison. It makes you wonder why...
