The system didn't fail that child, she was already dead a guilty verdict wouldn't have brought her back to life. Her so-called mother failed her.

If the prosecution hadn't have been so complacent by thinking it was a slam dunk and they couldn't lose, that fuckpig of a mother would be behind bars as we speak.

If there was proof that she bought the chloroform, then awesome. That I can understand being substantial evidence.

She might have been a bad mother, but they were able to charge her four misdemeanors. The rule is innocent until proven guilty. The courts are also responsible for putting innocent people on death row.

you make a good point about proof of purchase. for scott peterson they had receipts for cement bags. and for jodi arias they had gas receipts and canisters. i bet the prosecutor in the jodi arias case would have squeezed more evidence somehow and make a good enough impression of competence to the jury. they seem to be paying a lot of attention to the general conduct and attitude of other parties than the accused. but the prosecution knew that
