Yeah, that looks to me like a thoracotomy on his side, not anything done during the confrontation. The idea is to cut a hole, and then pump the heart by hand to get blood to the rest of the body. Apparently too little too late.

Im sure the dad has a coach or lawyer having him say this in hopes of a settlement or to make CIA,FBI,Home Land Security look bad to sympathizers ? If he spouts off like that with those kind of accusations when he gets here Im sure he'll get a ear full from the victims family members his sons maimed and murdered. |

Upon refection i reckon it is a surgical cut..see straight scalpel cut and then a few hesitation cuts to get the right place and then the removal of rips to enable either a heart massage or something. Also notice the yellow antiseptic/bromide stuff they always brush over the area of skin to be operated on. Definitely a hasty surgical incision/procedure to try and keep this guy alive so they can get info from him. |

to me it kind of looks like it might be jagged from getting run over, smashed/cut, and the jaggedness from the rolling motion fighting against the crushing motion, you know? that's hard to explain in words :3
