Re: Allen Lee Davis Excution Photos
Look, if you're actually guilty of the crime you've been convicted of (only worth saying because wrongful executions, where DNA evidence clears someone's name posthumously, are obviously very tragic and sad, and I mean no disrespect) - but if you're Allen Lee Davis and you murdered a pregnant woman and her two daughters... uh when it comes to your execution, I kinda think it should hurt. Like a lot. Because it's not like your victims went painlessly. And they sure as fuck didn't get lobster tails and a bucket of fried shrimp as a send off. I'm only opposed to the electric chair because I don't think any witness to an execution can ever really be prepared to watch such a violent, dramatic death like that. It's upsetting at best. Relatives of the victims of violent crimes often request to be present at the murderer's execution, thinking it's something they want to see, for closure or to feel a shred of vindication or what have you. Problem is, as everyone on this site knows, thinking about watching someone die is quite different from actually watching it. I just think the electric chair as a means of execution poses too great a risk of malfunction, and malfunction in a super gross fashion that will probably end up causing the witnesses even more pain and trauma. Not to mention PTSD for the executioners. That being said, being executed should fucking hurt. |
