Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
That would be a shame. Having the likes of him back a union and openly criticise the rebok deal has been a welcome breath of fresh air. Conor has won me over though and o would like to see him win but I just can't not like aldo

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
Fuck you guys seen this? http://dojodrifter.com/2015/12/yang-...complications/ er has confirmed with official staff of San Juan De Dios Hospital, Pasay City that Yang Jian Bing has passed away. The bout between Geje Eustaquio and Yan Jian Bing at ONE: Spirit of Champions was scrapped yesterday before the official weigh-ins due to weight cut complications from Yang. There was no official announcement made regarding the cause of the complications. According to our interview with staff of the hospital, Yang arrived at their emergency room at 2:43PM of Thursday afternoon and was already “unconscious and non-responsive.” He was revived but would go “cold,” losing his pulse sporadically. At 12:06PM today, he was pronounce dead. Medical staff at the hospital also told DojoDrifter.com that Yang died of Rhabdomyolysis, which is the breakdown of muscle tissue that leads to the release of muscle fiber contents into the blood, which is speculated as a result of the weight cut. According to hospital staff, ONE Championship officials, Yang’s teammates and friends, and two members of the Chinese Embassy have all attended to the matter. This is the first MMA death not only under the ONE Championship banner but also in Asia and the Philippines, and one that raises questions on the safety of cutting weight in MMA, a topic which has raised many health concerns in the past. At this moment, we at Dojo Drifter offer our prayers to Yang and his family. May he rest in peace. |
