Some Brazilian fighter died last year due to weight cutting. Dos Santos also had rhabdomyolysis a few years back from overtraining that was pretty severe. Sad for everyone involved.

I remember stephan struv had a blackout, and was forfeit for a fight too, cannot rmember what event...I don't understand that weigh cut thing; just go to the right weigh division, fighters!

Nothing surprising for me at that last event...Except a so quick ko from Mc gregor. Big up to Demian Maia, for showing us such a master JJB skills, and of course such nice behaviour, I will not be here to see that, done with UFC, but I hope he'll be the champ one day he deserves it so far.

I hope mr Danasshole White will let Frankie Edgar fight against Mcgregor( he deserves it), and after that, I hope very much Mr Nate Diaz will shut that big Mouth'mc gregor down for a while...I cannot stand that bullshit anymore. Conor is smart, talented on his feet, I give him that, but he's not a true featherweight, so neither a champ...He 's just under some good wings. Everything smells shit here. Mc gregor can have a win against Dosanjos, they know that, but he really has to earn that title shot, I'm pretty sure Diaz's boxing can make him in deep troubles. But, anyway, it's not about adversity anymore, but money...   |

The smart route for Conor would be to wade into the Lightweight division against some mid-tier opponent's and get a couple wins under his belt at that weight before challenging Dos Anjos for the belt. It's be the smartest money for Zuffa too. You KNOW a PPV with him vs Cerrone or Nate Diaz would BANK! ...and make a millionaire out of a fighter who's on their way out of the game. |
