Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
139 was the best card I have seen all year, 5 round non title fights are awesome for the fans also. Even the prelim fights were amazing, Wand was great. He took a lot of hard shots from Le and didn't flinch. Shame about the crowd booing, Dana seemed really pissed off in his interview after the show... Fox 2 card will most likely have 4 fights with at least 2 of those fights getting announced by Dana on Monday (American time) Apparently Anderson Silva has a shoulder injury and will be out until July 2012. Anyone else think the last round of Shogun Henderson was a 10-8? I thought the fight was a draw, but an epic battle no matter what the decision! |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
In 2003, HBO aired a documentary titled "The Smashing Machine" which dealt with the life and career of Mark Kerr. The program chronicles Kerr's addiction to painkillers and the "no holds barred" aspect of early mixed martial arts competition. Kerr's then-girlfriend, Dawn Staples, and mixed-martial artists Ken Shamrock, Bas Rutten, Kevin Randleman and Mark Coleman also appear in the film. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/7HRrEkKidi8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/u2sP6jQZ1co" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
