Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

Mayweather is guaranteed a record $41.5 million. The live gate at the MGM Grand has reached over $20 million, which is also a record. IMO this fight will be highest grossing PPV ever .

it will be close but I think it could be the biggest too. A lot of people who dont really like boxing over here are looking forward to this fight. World wide viewing figures will be massive

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

Early ppv estimates for mayweather is around 2 mil. That is impressive if it holds up.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

UFC 165, some critics are picking Jones to lose.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

Great fight!

I was extremely impressed with Gustafsson' s performance.
He stuck with his strengths and executed his game-plan well.

Never seen Jones that beat up, shaken, and dragged into the 'deep water'.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

Fairly even fight, Jones looked ordinary.

It was crazy seeing him worried, he REALLY underestimated Alex.

I had them even at 2rds each coming into the 5th, Jones turned it on and got the win... good for him. Watching the post-fight presser now. Both of them had to go to the hospital - looks like Jones shattered his foot when he kicked Gustafsson in the face.

Rubber match is pretty much assured at this point barring injuries.

I'm ready for Dominick Cruz to come back and loss to Barão already.

Close fight but regardless of how you feel about Jones, he landed more, was the aggressor, had him rocked in the 4th, and they were even on takedowns. Jones won 3-2. Most of the media, fighters, and fight stats all agree. Great fight regardless of who won. I had money on Gus when Jones was 6-1
