Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
So here is my take on the Rory, Jake fight. It's on the guy losing the fight to take the risk. Jake gets all the blame from me for that stinker. Rory is right to just throw the jab until Jake makes him do something else. Blame Jake for wanting to lose by jabs than risk getting finished. A boxer would jab his way to a decision every time.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
Exactly, he knew he lost Rounds 1 and 2 - he shoulda came out like a savage and 'left it all inside the octagon' in round 3. You leave the decision up to the judges and they're gonna give it to your opponent.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
KooriJaymz You've rattled off the names of some Boxers... I'm talking about real fighting, not standing in a ring and trading punches till someone drops. Boxing is a 1-dimesional sport - MMA is 3D. The long list of boxers that have attempted to make a go at MMA and failed miserably stretches from Art Jimmerson to James Toney... and clowns like Floyd Mayweather who smack-talk Anderson Silva making mock-challenges to stir up media attention. Even the M-1 'champion', if you wanna get into actual MMA promotions - Fedor's promotion specifically - hasn't even defended his title once. Jones has successfully defended it 5 times and is currently on a 9-fight winning streak. |
