Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

Yea I had Jake to win by wrestle fuck. You guys always complain when the wrestlers stall for a decision. I give Rory credit for not letting that happen. Again I didn't watch the fight but Rory moves on as Jake takes a step backward.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

Meh, just thought "the psycho" would get confident and start dancing around like Ali like he did with Penn. Entertained, I was not. That does not matter though, winning does.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

So here is my take on the Rory, Jake fight. It's on the guy losing the fight to take the risk. Jake gets all the blame from me for that stinker. Rory is right to just throw the jab until Jake makes him do something else. Blame Jake for wanting to lose by jabs than risk getting finished. A boxer would jab his way to a decision every time.

i just want to see Rory german suplex Nick Diaz like he did to Nate. If Nick un-retires, that is.

As much as I would like this fight to happen Nick doesn't deserve a fight with a top 3 welterweight at the moment. Lets stop giving the guy free passes. Feed Nick to Koscheck.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

I'm trying to get the Nick Diaz fans back in this thread. They all went MIA after the GSP fight.

Exactly, he knew he lost Rounds 1 and 2 - he shoulda came out like a savage and 'left it all inside the octagon' in round 3. You leave the decision up to the judges and they're gonna give it to your opponent.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

Not to mention, I think Beibut Shumenov, Adonis Stevenson, Bernard Hopkins and Nathan Cleverly might disagree for a start.
KooriJaymz

You've rattled off the names of some Boxers...

I'm talking about real fighting, not standing in a ring and trading punches till someone drops. Boxing is a 1-dimesional sport - MMA is 3D.
The long list of boxers that have attempted to make a go at MMA and failed miserably stretches from Art Jimmerson to James Toney... and clowns like Floyd Mayweather who smack-talk Anderson Silva making mock-challenges to stir up media attention.

Even the M-1 'champion', if you wanna get into actual MMA promotions - Fedor's promotion specifically - hasn't even defended his title once. Jones has successfully defended it 5 times and is currently on a 9-fight winning streak.
