Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

I thought the card had everything, great Knockouts, subs, and the main event was just insane! What did you guys think of 136?
The best card of 2011. Showed that while Light Heavyweight is the most popular class in MMA, the lighter classes, 155 pounds and lighter, are the most entertaining.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

Chael Sonnen completely dominates everyone he faces. Stann is a though guy and he just got dominated. No other word to describe it.

You ever see anyone disrespect Anderson Silva like this?

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

I'm in the minority on this but I hope Anderson Silva completely destroys Chael Sonnen. That guy has one of the biggest cock jockeys on planet. But, that's just my take.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

Chael Sonnen is a huge shit talker, but I find him entertaining. Can't wait for 137, Nick Diaz always puts on a great fight and hopefully Condit kills St Pierre although I doubt he will, GSP by 5 rounds of LnP

For a guy who says he loves Jits you definitely have a "just bleed" mentality. Can you tell me a fight where Gsp LnP? No because GSP does not LnP. He continually works and advances position, scoring points on take downs, sub attempts, octagon control and breaking orbital bones on his feet.

You sir are an idiot.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

GSP, took Shields down at the end of the round and layed in his guard to score points. He couldn't finish Hardy or Alves who are both useless on the ground. I am not saying the dude does not advance, he has one of the slickest skill sets in MMA history but when he is not using it it's pretty useless. If you want to talk about awesome ground skills you look at a Mia or a Souza, dudes who are using superior ground game to sub opponents rather then get into a comfortable position and lay a few strikes. I like fighters who are constantly looking to finish, not constantly looking to score points, but that is just me.

I think that GSP won't want to stand with Condit and look to take him down, once down Condit has some nice skills off his back and I don't see Georges subbing him more just moving into side control and laying a few knees at the most but that is my opinion, the fight could go anyway and GSP could pull out a Scorpion Kick and end the fight in the first 15 seconds which is why its a great sport to watch.

Calling me an idiot however for having an opinion is pretty low, especially coming from the guy who thought Brock Lesnar was the second coming of Christ when the thread first started.
