Nothing wrong with the way you talk. I remember you said something about being drunk while posting, and had to mess with you.

Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here

Had to split for a while, a man's gotta work... all I want to say now is this: believers either won't or can't answer the bare logic questions about the bible and god. It always comes down to "god works in mysterious ways" or "I don't have all the answers" or "I can't explain it, but I just know" and that might be good enough for them, but it's not for me. In every part of my life, I need facts. Everything has to pass the logic test. I wouldn't go as far as to say I KNOW for a fact that I'm right (unlike most believers, who KNOW that god exists) as I reserve the right to be wrong. My life experiences and my working mind lead me to firmly believe that religion is a farce and an instrument to control the weak minded.

Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here

IMHO I feel the bible contains general concepts for people to understand, not to be taken literally word for word. I believe evolution WAS how god created man, the wording used is to help simple minded people to understand it. This being taken as a given, I believe it IS possible for there to be a likelihood of hidden messages being coded into the bible. Based on the fact that it's a general concept book, giving room to play with the wording. However, on the flip side of the coin if you think about how many times the "King James" version of the bible has been translated, the bible code theory seems unlikely.

IT takes a smart person to know that the correct religion is Islam. ISlam provides the world with immense amounts of violence and suffering and that is why I love Islam. WHat other religion still wages war to this day as violently as islamics do.

You want to know one reason why you are unique in you your statement ?

Not many would say that, that shows you are willing to accept evidence if it should present it's self. Some would would not even keep and open mind at all.

That is why I said it was worth noting that the Bible Code is in the Old Testament. As far as I know, they have never tried it in the New Testament. The way they do it has no commas, periods or anything. It is laid out in a grid, and they skip so many letters to come up with a phrase, then they see if there are any other phrases related to it useing the same or similar skip pattern.

That is what I was saying about the Bible, it has been changed for so many different reasons, and things get lost in translation, or left out because someone does not like a certain word or way that something is explained.
